Who we are

Rocket Tutoring was founded with a simple idea: exceptional academic support should be thoughtful, personal, and led by people who genuinely love learning.

Based in Pasadena, California—home to Caltech and located near NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory—Rocket Tutoring is staffed primarily by Caltech graduates and graduate students. While Rocket Tutoring is not affiliated with Caltech or JPL, our team brings the same curiosity, rigor, and problem-solving mindset that defines the surrounding research community.

Our mission is to improve education for the next generation of thinkers and leaders. We believe students succeed best when they receive attentive, individualized support that meets them where they are and builds confidence alongside competence.

At Rocket Tutoring, sessions are never one-size-fits-all. We work closely with students to understand their goals, learning style, and academic challenges, then tailor each session to provide clear explanations, guided practice, and practical strategies they can carry back into the classroom. Whether a student needs help mastering foundational concepts, preparing for standardized exams, or developing stronger study habits, our focus is always on meaningful, lasting progress.

As a small, tutor-led organization, we value quality over volume. That allows us to maintain a high standard of instruction, foster genuine mentor–student relationships, and ensure every student receives focused, thoughtful support.

Rocket Tutoring exists to help students build momentum—not just academically, but in how they approach learning itself.
